The Barbara gas field consists of several offshore production platforms where the produced gas is collected at the Barbara T platform before being transported via sealine to the Falconara compression station, located near Ancona, Italy.

Following the decline in reservoir production pressure, it became necessary to convert the compressor deck on the Barbara T platform into a booster deck in order to increase the inlet pressure to the Barbara T2 compression platform.

Tecnoconsult carried out the Detailed Engineering activities, including plant modelling using a Plant 3D Model, procurement support, post-order vendor follow-up, and supervision and technical assistance during the offshore construction and installation activities.
