Tecnoconsult
Marine Terminals
TECNOCONSULT has extensive experience in the engineering design of marine terminals for hydrocarbon loading and unloading operations.
Marine terminal projects are developed through a comprehensive assessment of environmental impact, metocean conditions, vessel types and dimensions, and the development plans of the existing port where the terminal will be integrated, in order to identify the most efficient and reliable configuration.
The most common engineering solutions include Single Point Mooring (SPM) systems, Offshore Islands, jetties, and berth mooring systems.
The marine and structural engineering departments, supported by specialist software such as ANSYS AQWA, SACS, ORCAFLEX, OLGA, and PIPENET, are capable of delivering complete system engineering, from overall concept development through to detailed design.
To define the optimum offshore terminal configuration, Tecnoconsult performs hydrodynamic analyses of marine structures to evaluate their behaviour under the specific operating conditions of each project site.
These studies are carried out using proprietary software such as TECNAV® together with advanced commercial tools including ANSYS AQWA®.
The most suitable solution is selected through advanced time-domain simulations developed using detailed ORCAFLEX® models, taking into account mooring line characteristics, anchoring systems (HHC, piles, deadweight anchors), and hose systems for product transfer.
Tecnoconsult's engineering approach complies with the main international standards, including API, RINA, DNV, ISO, ABS, and OCIMF, ensuring the highest quality standards and full compliance with international regulations.
