TECNOCONSULT has developed extensive expertise in managing all geological and geotechnical aspects required for the design of subsea infrastructure and pipeline systems.

Tecnoconsult's capabilities range from the interpretation of soil geotechnical parameters to the identification of potential geohazards based on geological and geotechnical investigations, with the objective of developing engineering solutions capable of mitigating all identified risks.

To achieve this, Tecnoconsult specialists develop geotechnical and seismotectonic ground models at both regional and local scales, covering every project phase from Conceptual Studies through to EPCI activities.

The company's main activities include scientific literature review, planning of geophysical and geotechnical survey campaigns, technical assistance, offshore supervision, interpretation of acquired data, and critical assessment of survey results, including bathymetric data processing and the development of empirical correlations for the interpretation of in-situ and laboratory geotechnical tests.

By defining the mechanical properties of soil deposits under both static and dynamic conditions, together with geomorphological features such as faults, seabed irregularities, pockmarks, and other geological phenomena, Tecnoconsult experts are able to develop:

routing studies, pipe-soil interaction analyses, geohazard and microzonation studies, 1D/2D seismic amplification analyses, submarine landslide assessments, faulting evaluations, lateral spreading analyses, earthquake-induced subsidence assessments, as well as PSHA (Probabilistic Seismic Hazard Assessment) studies.

Activities also include foundation verification and settlement assessment of subsea structures such as PLEMs, PLETs, manifolds, and other offshore infrastructure.

All engineering activities are carried out using internationally recognized software, including CRISIS, SLOPE/W, SHAKE, and proprietary in-house tools, in compliance with major international standards such as API, ISO, DNV, and EC8.
