Offshore Platforms (Jackets & Topsides)

TECNOCONSULT has been involved in numerous engineering projects for the design of fixed offshore platforms with steel jackets, including foundation design studies and installation engineering analyses.

Structural engineering activities also include the revamping of existing offshore platforms, covering structural upgrades, relocation or integration of new deck facilities, and engineering solutions aimed at extending the service life of offshore structures.

The main engineering studies carried out by Tecnoconsult specialists include in-place static analysis, seismic and modal analyses, nonlinear pushover analyses, lifting analyses, and foundation design verification.

Static, modal, harmonic, and nonlinear transient analyses are performed using dedicated FEM software such as SACS and ANSYS APDL, capable of modelling the elasto-plastic behaviour of materials for the evaluation of the structure's Reserve Strength Ratio (RSR).

Tecnoconsult's engineering approach complies with the main international standards, including API 2A (WSD and LRFD), RINA, DNV, ISO, EC3, and NORSOK, ensuring high levels of quality, reliability, and regulatory compliance in offshore engineering projects.
