The contractual Area 1 lies in water depths from 10 m to 40 m; it covers a total area of 67.2 sqkm subdivided in three sub-areas cut out around Amoca, Miztón and Tecoalli discoveries.
Amoca discovery is located in the Salina Sub-basin (Sureste Basin), delimited by a dedicated contractual area of 19.5 km2, 22 km SW of the Tecoalli 1 NFW well, 11 km SW of the Miztòn 1 NFW well.
Amoca-1 well reached a total depth of 4000m MD and found two different mineralized levels: the first in the Middle Pliocene sequences (Orca Play) with a 15°-18° API oil and one in the Lower Pliocene sequences (Cinco Presidentes Play) with a 26°-31° API oil.
Miztòn-1 well reached a total depth of 3270m TVDSS and discovered hydrocarbon at Middle Pliocene, oil (33 API) and gas, at play equivalent to Amoca Orca2 target.
Tecoalli 1 well reached a total depth of 3,930m TVDSS and proved oil of 27.8° API, in the Middle Pliocene sequence of the equivalent of Amoca Orca2 target.
The project aimed at starting production from the Miztòn field within 1Q2019, as per agreement between the Mexican government and Eni.
In order to accelerate the project execution, the project uses as much as possible existing facilities that require no or small modifications to fit the field development requirements.
