KARISH DEVELOPMENT- GAS RECEIVING PLANT

Client/Company: TECHNIPFMC / ENERGEAN

Business Area: Safety Engineering Design

Country: Offshore Israel

Tecnoconsult SoW: Process Safety Detail design for EPC

The Karish Project consists of an initial three well development of the Karish Main (KM) reservoir. Three wells shall be drilled in a cluster and tied into a single 4-slot manifold. The manifold shall be connected via two lazy wave steel catenary riser systems which shall tie back to a moored FPSO.

The development plan uses an FPSO to process the reservoir fluids and deliver sales gas and light oil/condensate to the required specifications. Light oil/condensate shall be exported by tandem off-loading to a shuttle tanker.

From the FPSO a subsea gas sales pipeline of approximately 90 km shall export the produced gas to an onshore valve station at Dor, Israel.  An onshore pipeline section shall connect the Coastal Valve Station (CVS) to the Dor Valve Station (DVS) from where the pipeline shall tie-in to the Israeli Gas Transmission System via a new manifold to be built by INGL.

Tecnoconsult scope of work consisted of the Gas Pressure reducing and metering System Detail design, and the following activities have been performed:

  • HSES Philosophy
  • Hazardous Area Classification
  • SIL Session for Safety/Control loops
  • HAZOP Sessions
  • Fire & Gas Detection Design
  • Firefighting Design
  • Contribution to QRA preparation
  • Contribution to RAM analysis
