Tecnoconsult SoW: Basic Design of SPM and pipeline
The existing ERL fuel refinery, with an annual design capacity of processing 1.5 million metric tons of crude oil, was aiming to expand its crude processing capacity by 3.0 million metric tons. It is planned to deliver the product to the refinery by means of a SPM system, located approx. 90km far from the refinery, through an offshore and onshore pipeline system and an intermediate on-shore pump station & tank farm required due to the insufficient tanker pumps capacities.
Tecnoconsult carried out the Basic design of the Single Point Mooring System for unloading of crude oil and HDD products from tankers of different size (120.000 DWT, 80.000 DWT) through off-shore/onshore pipeline from SPM to refinery.
The Basic design activities have been:
Optimization of the subsea field layout, selection and recommendation of final routes and SPM location
Pipeline mechanical design including sizing, expansion analysis, on bottom stability, etc
Meteocean study
Pipeline protection against dropped objects
Pipeline interaction with third party activities
Shore approach selection
SPM functional specifications
